Dialysis Internships

Our internships in Barbados are not just geared to give interns exposure and experience in the dialysis setting; they are also an important way patients receive comprehensive care.

Students who wish to intern in one of these institutions must complete our pre-requisite courses.  Our internships run from two to four weeks in the months of February -November.  The cost of the program (courses + internship) varies depending on several factors such as the internship length desired, the degree program of the student and whether or not the student is a resident.

You will receive a detailed cost once you fill out the application with your selected choices. We hope you will join us in Barbados.

Culturally Immersive Experience

Students who choose to complete the in-person internship in Barbados will enjoy several culturally immersive activities aimed at getting them familiar with Barbados, its geography, culture, people and food. It's an exciting experience of discovery, adventure and learning.

Tours:  We specially select tours that help students experience the beauty of Barbados.  Most of the tours are food focused, like the Barbados Bridgetown Tour that takes you through this vibrant community of open markets, street foods and souvenir shops.

Activities:  Cooking with local chefs has always been a huge highlight for our students. We can also schedule basket weaving or volunteering in a soup kitchen.

Hikes: Barbados is filled with beautiful places to hike, like the Flower Forest, Walker's Reserve or Coco Hill. Not only will you view tropical splendor, but you'll learn about the local flora and agriculture in Barbados.
