Telehealth is an integral part of healthcare today.  Several dialysis providers have integrated telehealth as a permanent part of their offerings. Telehealth can enable clinicians to provide their services to other dialysis facilities around the world who do not have dietitians or social workers as part of their healthcare team.

It's important for interdisciplinary team members to obtain experience in this setting.  Learning the difficulties, challenges and benefits of this mode of communication will better prepare every entry level clinicians.
